Test Automation Engineer

What you'll do

We’re looking for a Test Automation Engineer who is keen to join an exciting, rapidly growing digital agency and fast become a crucial part of the software delivery cycle.

Your role will be as a champion of project quality, with a focus on automated test strategies and frameworks. Working in an Agile environment with a cross-disciplinary team, you will be accountable for implementing precise and repeatable quality measures to enable low-risk, high-quality delivery pipelines.

You'll often be working across a spread of fast-paced projects or teams, so confidence in managing your time effectively is a must-have. As the custodian of quality, you will need to be able to select and apply the right testing methodologies to a given context to drive the best results across the team. You'll be empowered by the project teams to be confident in sharing knowledge, questioning current ways of working and proposing new approaches to both your teammates and clients professionally; keeping the quality bar high enough to delight customers.

What you'll bring

In order to flourish in this role, you’ll need the following:

  • Experience in writing, executing and maintaining automated test suites across a variety of testing tools (e.g. Selenium, Codecept, Cypress)
  • Testing in an Agile environment and creating tests from BDD statements to effectively test software
  • Experience, and applied understanding, of testing at different layers of the application
  • Experience of embedding automated tests into build pipelines
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

It would also be great (but not essential) if you have:

  • Applied experience of JavaScript
  • Hands-on experience of non-functional testing (e.g. Load/ Performance/ Security/ Accessibility testing)
  • ISTQB Certification or equivalent
  • Knowledge of C#
