Could Digital Consultancy Help You?

Producing a highly detailed specification prior to building any digital project is vital to the success of the products and solution that we build for our clients.  As a digital consultancy and development agency, MMT Digital has gained a large amount of experience helping our clients throughout the full life cycle of their digital solutions from requirements gathering, to the development phase, the launch and finally ongoing technical support.  In some cases we’ve been involved in the process of selecting the most suitable development partners too.

Our consultancy process

At MMT Digital we believe that to build the best solution possible it’s necessary to spend time in the beginning phases outlining all our client’s requirements rather than going full tilt into the creative process.  Therefore we like to be involved in the initial phases of the project alongside our clients to help them ‘think digital’ when assessing and discussing the potential structure of their solutions, how the content should be arranged and the functionality required with all internal parties who will have a part in development and ongoing support of the solution.

Following this we then move onto the specification and wire-framing phase which involves detailed specifications being developed for any of the more complex aspects that may be required for the launch and wire-frames for the solution as the whole.  At MMT Digital we swear by producing fully functioning wire-frames to ensure our clients are able to see exactly how their solution will work as a finished product.

The wire-frames that we build consist of an interactive replication of the solution and it can be accessed via a web browser.  We have often found in the past our wire-framing procedure gives all parties a very clear idea of how the solution will function in a very short space of time.  Word documents can leave a lot to the imagination and various parties can make different assumptions about how things might work.

Our initial version of wire-frames are normally sent over to our clients without any creative and are designed to show the functionality of the website in detail to be shared across the project teams and other stakeholders ensuring engagement, and facilitate feedback and discussion.

All of this preparation prior to building solutions for our clients not only means that all digital possibilities for the project have been considered, or that all stakeholders and members of the project team are completely briefed and in agreement about how the final solution is expected to function; or that you’ve managed to use the wire-frames to gather customer feedback prior to building the solution; but that any major changes of direction can be taken at a very early stage before any expensive creative or development work has been undertaken.
